The basic spheres of the company’s activities are the development, manufacturing, testing, putting into operation, commissioning and maintenance of high voltage electric converters of wide range of voltage, frequency and power for various purposes, including:
- Frequency-controlled synchronous drive and softstarters for electric motors for the voltage range from 1 to 20 kV and with the capacity up to 50 MW.
- Static var compensators for industrial and network needs for the voltage range from 10 to 35 kV and capacity up to 200 MVA;
- high voltage thyristor valves for HVDC transmission lines and back-to-back links

The questions to be discussed are the following: the cooperation between FGC UES and ASI in FACTS sphere and application of SVC produced by ASI Russian subsidiary AO Ansaldo-VEI. |
